It caused quite a stir among the Internet community when Facebook discovered that companies are demanding job candidates to share their Facebook passwords in an attempt to verify personal conduct. The issue was HOT enough, two US senators called for the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to conduct an investigation.

The practice has little takers and a huge group of opposers. It is a clear violation of fundamental rights and provides ample opportunities for discrimination at work.
